AFTA Fall Rendezvous will be Saturday October 10th at Crawford County Fairgrounds in Mulberry, AR from 8:00am to 6:00pm. Camping is allowed on the grounds with no-charge for primitive sites and $10 for limited electric hook-up sites. Hotel accomodations can be found in Alma or Ozark. For those that arrive Friday night there will be a group cook-out so bring your grill and a chair.

Starting at 8am Saturday, there will be trapping demo’s for trap preparation , fox, coyote, mink, beaver, bobcat, raccoon and snaring. Each demo will last 45 minutes or so with time for questions.

Crawford County Wilderness Living Skills group will be setup teaching and talking about the way folks lived before electricity – primitive fire building, charcoal making, campfire cooking, flint knapping, soap making and many others.

If you’ve got something to sell, you can setup inside the commercial building for $25 or by donating $25 worth of merchandise to the silent auction. Inside space is limited …. so let us know in advance if you would like to set-up. If you’d rather be outside, tailgaters are welcome, all we ask is that you buy a $10 membership to AFTA. You’re welcome to sell anything from trapping supplies to garage sale stuff to small home grown livestock.

A silent auction will run most of the day then close on announcement after the trapping seminars are through. You will be asked to pay as you win each item. Silent auction will be open to the public with hope of all bidders becoming members. Last year we raised $400 on auction items like trapping supplies, gift certificates, 20 gal propane, bow hunting targets and auto accessories.

There will be a potluck lunch at noon, so bring a covered dish ….. enough for you, yours and someone else, or cook when you get there at the dutch oven cooking which starts at 10am. The association will furnish the drinks for lunch.
